Mortgage Loan Officer (6/16/2015)
Community 1st Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a qualified individual to assume a leadership role in our mortgage lending area. The Mortgage Loan Officer is responsible for managing an existing client portfolio as well as actively seeking and developing new relationships. The successful candidate will be responsible for the origination of residential mortgage loans, home equity loans, and consumer loans, while cross-selling the bank’s deposit and service products to satisfy member needs. Primary duties will include taking loan applications, coordinating the processing and closing of loans, consulting with and mentoring other staff lenders, assuring regulatory compliance, and managing underwriting, processing, and documentation systems.
The ideal candidate will have:

· Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration or a related field of study.

· Three or more years of experience in residential mortgage lending, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

· NMLS designation or the ability to obtain NMLS designation via the National Mortgage Licensing System & Registry.

· Ability to make logical decisions and carry out decisions made.

· Enjoys working with customers and demonstrates excellent interpersonal skills.

· Working knowledge of computers and business software (Excel, Word) and the ability to learn proprietary software. Ability to utilize loan origination software, preferably prior experience with MortgageBot. Ability to operate general office equipment.

· Close attention to detail and accuracy.

· Ability to be an attentive and active listener.
